Putting the tent poles in!
Rolling up a sleeping bag!
Brielle's girl scout troop is working on their "Ready, Set, Go Camping!" try-it patch, so their leader hosted a mini campout in her backyard. It was a lot of fun. The girls learned how to put up and take down a tent, roll up a sleeping bag properly, and attempted to learn how to tie different types of knots. They even made their own tin foil dinner and cooked it in the fire. After the required tasks were finished, the real fun began! The girls sang camp songs, played games, and made lots and lots of smores. They stayed up until midnight goofing off in their tents, but then it got too cold, so we brought all of the girls into the house to sleep on the floor in the living room.Brielle and I had so much fun, maybe someday we will try camping for real!
